High-end Accommodations
Idlwilde Inn is a charming 18-room Victorian mansion overlooking Seneca Lake. The Inn sits on 2.5 acres of land in a park-like setting with a beautiful lawn as well as formal gardens. Prices range from $145 – 295 a night and, with advance notice, they will happily accommodate vegan dietary needs.
Each room at Glenora Inn overlooks beautiful vineyards and Seneca Lake. The elegant rooms are furnished with Stickley furniture and feature a private patio or balcony, TV, and wireless internet. There is also a Fitness Room available for guest use. Nightly rates during the off-season start at $99 for weekdays and $139 for weekends and beginning in July start at $199 for weekdays and $259 for weekends. At Glenora, they are more than willing to accommodate special dietary needs and all of their menus contain at least one vegan option.
Located at the tip of Seneca Lake, the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel offers 104 deluxe guest rooms including Jacuzzi suites as well as lake-view rooms with balconies. The hotel restaurant offers a separate vegan menu. Additionally, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and business center. Rates vary throughout the year and start at $219 per night from June through October. When making reservations, let the hotel know that you are vegan and they will provide vegan bedding and chocolate for turn-down service.
Moderate Accommodations
Best Western, Hammondsport, NY
The Best Western, Hammondsport, is located 13 miles from Farm Sanctuary. It is nestled at the southern tip of Keuka Lake and located in what was voted by readers of Budget Travel as the “Coolest Small Town in America”! Guests will enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, an elegantly designed lobby and guestroom complete with local flair, a complimentary hot buffet breakfast, 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, 24-hour business center, indoor heated pool, meeting/banquet facilities that accommodate up to 125 attendees, and free parking. They also offer a mini-fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, 40-inch LED TVs, and Sealy pillowtop mattresses in all guestrooms. A.D.A. and pet-friendly rooms are available. The Black Sheep Inn and Spa is a vegan bed and breakfast inside a historic 19th century octagon building located at the edge of the quaint village of Hammondsport. Located about 25 minutes from Farm Sanctuary, the inn is also near Keuka lake, wineries, and hiking trails. An entirely plant-based breakfast is included as part of your stay. They have five guest rooms to choose from with nightly rates ranging from $169 – $289 with a two-night minimum stay. They offer a variety of services to add on to your stay such as a massage or a floral arrangement.
The Ginger Cat is an all-vegan bed & breakfast, nestled on 15 beautiful acres just a few miles from Watkins Glen. There you can enjoy breakfast on the four-season porch, watch magnificent sunsets, and stargaze from the large deck or take a walk through the woods that surround the house and gardens. The Ginger Cat is just 15 minutes from Farm Sanctuary, the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, and Watkins Glen State Park. Companion animals and children 3 and older are welcome. Rates range from $120 – 170 per night.
Stay in a welcoming vegan intentional community that’s located only 20 minutes from Farm Sanctuary! Hiking, waterfalls, wineries and restaurants are all nearby. Room is a private studio with an ensuite half bathroom and separate entrance in an all vegan house. There is a microwave and mini-fridge in the room, as well as a full kitchen that guests are welcome to use, provided that they only cook vegan meals. The JuneBug Lodge is a 100% vegan retreat located eight miles from Farm Sanctuary. It sits nestled on 135 peaceful and serene acres. There are modern Tiny Houses, A-frames, or a newly renovated main lodge. Gather with fellow travelers for a fully vegan continental style breakfast each morning. Guests have access to the Hygge Room, outdoor kitchen & modern Tiny House Bath House. Take in the sights and sounds of wildlife and nature on site and the surrounding state forests. Enjoy hiking, a swimming pond, a yoga-studio tiny house, and an expansive Vegan Education Center Library. Rates range from $100 – 250 per night.
Seneca Sol is a luxury campground situated on 25 acres of dense forest land, minutes from Seneca Lake, wineries, breweries, waterfalls, dining and more. There is a modern bath house with private showers and toilets, lounge tent and fully equipped outdoor kitchen for guests to use. Complimentary breakfast with vegan options is available every morning. The Colonial provides a comfortable and restful place for a great night’s sleep and has recently opened a small bistro on site with occasional live music! They are a few minutes’ walking distance from a wide variety of sightseeing and other traditional vacation opportunities, including the world-famous Watkins Glen State Park, also known as “The Gorge,” and its 19 beautiful waterfalls. Conveniently located near other major attractions such as Seneca Lake boat tours, local wineries and their vineyards, Nascar Sprint Cup, Watkins Glen International speedway racing, and more. Just a three-minute walk from Watkins Glen State Park, this motel is located in Watkins Glen, 15 minutes’ walk from Seneca Lake. Rooms include a new double or queen sized bed, a flat screen TV with cable, free wi-fi, and a bathroom with a tub, shower, and hair dryer. Fine restaurants and other attractions are also within walking distance or a short drive away, such as the Watkins Glen International Race Track (only five miles away) and many along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Budget Accommodations
The Local has been designed for maximum comfort and fun! Located in beautiful downtown Watkins Glen, The Local is one block south of the world-famous Watkins Glen State Park Gorge. The southern tip of Seneca Lake is less than 10 minutes north on foot. Take a quick walk to the entrance to the Catherine Valley hiking trail. Start your Finger Lakes Wine Trail excursion from Watkins Glen; when you are done for the day, you can walk to restaurants and bars. They feature hand-made bunks with memory foam mattresses; one bunk room and four private rooms each named after one of the Finger Lakes; three bathrooms, two with showers; handicapped-accessible building, including bathroom and bunk room; free towel rental; luggage storage available before and after checkout; and a beautiful kitchen for guest use. Prices range from $22-30 for dorm beds and $55 – 75 a night for private rooms.
Vacation Home Rentals
Just a five-minute drive from Farm Sanctuary, this beautiful vacation home sits on 70 acres of private forested land. Offering three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, this is an ideal location for families or small groups of friends. Companion animals are welcome. A gorgeous outdoor raw cedar hot tub complements a day out on the shelter. Marked hiking trails wind their way through the private forest. A full kitchen, stocked with all the essentials, allows you to prepare your own meals. Personalized vegan catering is available upon request. Rates average $350 per night in the summer. Lower rates are available off-season. The number of guests is limited to 6 people.

Camping Accommodations
Clute Memorial Park & Campground
Located in the heart of Watkins Glen, Clute Memorial Park features 35 acres of family recreation area within walking distance of downtown. Tennis courts, soccer field, swimming and bathhouses, picnic tables, fireplaces, children’s playground, small ball field, and skate park are just some of the amenities that are featured. There’s also a boat launch adjacent to Clute Park along the Seneca/Erie Barge Canal. Dogs are welcome if you keep them on a leash, clean up after them, and provide proof of rabies vaccination. Rates start at $30 a night.
Visit Corning’s favorite campground! Ferenbaugh sits on 274 open and wooded acres with a 40-foot-wide creek, nature trails, and much more. They offer 115 wooded and 30 pull-thru campsites for your RV, camper, or tent. Slideouts and BIG Rigs are welcome. Pull-thrus have 30- and 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. The wooded and creek-side sites have 20- and 30-amp electric and water service. Their facilities encourage relaxation and fun times with your family, while the new pool beckons for your swimming enjoyment! Rates start at $27 a night.
Havana Glen Campground
Havana Glen Park, which includes Eagle Cliff Falls, is a well-developed town park at the south end of the village of Montour Falls. It provides for excellent recreational opportunities as it has ball fields, playgrounds, camping facilities, and a beautiful (and short) hike through Havana Glen. The park contains various species of rare native New York State plants, and has been classified as an important area for birding, as more than 100 species have been documented here. McClure Creek, the source of Eagle Cliff Falls, has been designated a trout stream, and is thus protected to allow for migratory fish from Seneca Lake to safely spawn. Rates start at $25 a night for a campsite.
Watkins Glen KOA Campground is a complete camping resort located in the Heart of the fabulous Finger Lakes region and is committed to making your vacation in the Finger Lakes most memorable. The Watkins Glen/Corning area is considered the heart of the southern Finger Lakes, with most of the spectacular points of interest within 30 to 45 minutes of the campground. The campground has long been regarded as the best location for RVers and campers who come to enjoy the region. Over the years, they have focused on adding amenities to encourage you to “kick back and enjoy.” Rates start at $49 a night.
Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes state parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen’s stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. The park offers 305 campsites with restrooms, hot showers, dumping stations, and firewood for sale. Other offered amenities include food concessions, gift shops, rental pavilion, picnic tables and grills, playing fields, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and kiddie pool, modern playgrounds, and gorgeous scenic views.
