Imagine Yourself Here

Intern at Farm Sanctuary

Animals are free from cages and spend their days basking in the sun, wallowing in the mud, and exploring every nook and cranny of their fascinating habitats. Open pastures surround you, the air is fresh, and the pigs grunt their greetings as you walk by. You spend your day working on projects with one goal in mind: to create a more compassionate world for farm animals. At the end of the day, you return home to a community of like-minded people with whom you can discuss ideas, swap stories, and maybe even share a home-cooked vegan meal. If this sounds like your kind of place, a Farm Sanctuary internship may be for you.

For more than 30 years, Farm Sanctuary has welcomed interns to work alongside our expert staff at the nation’s leading nonprofit farm animal protection organization. Our volunteer internship program has served as a launching pad for countless activists who’ve gone on to do incredible work for animals in the nonprofit sector and beyond.

Internships are offered in several program areas, suiting a variety of skills and interests. Ready to strengthen your activism, deepen your compassion, build your résumé, and make life-long connections with some amazing animals (including the human variety)?
